Though Happy Herbivore (& Drs Esselstyn & Campbell) make awesome and valid points about whole foods vs processed, other doctors have a different perspective on smoothies. It’s well documented with tons of research (15 endnotes!) and focuses on how smoothies can indeed be healthy (because sometimes (not always, nothing is ever always), they really are not—it has a lot to do with what ingredients (and how much of said ingredients) are going into your smoothies…focus on kale, y’all, KALE!).
